I’m launching a new initiative called GenAI Skills Lab — small facilitated learning groups exploring practical uses of Generative AI in planning practice.
The first series is designed specifically for planning sole practitioners.
Working independently can make it harder to experiment with new tools or discuss how others are using them. The aim of the Skills Lab is to create a small facilitated group where planners can try things, ask questions, and share experiences.
Each session runs online for one hour and includes:
- a short demonstration of a practical GenAI technique
- time to try prompts and examples
- discussion about how participants are using AI in their work and businesses
The focus is not only on planning tasks but also on how GenAI can support sole practitioner workflows and productivity.
Skill Level
This series is aimed at planners who have already experimented a little with GenAI tools (such as ChatGPT or Copilot) and want to develop their skills further.
It is not a beginner course on how to get started with AI, but a group for building on basic experience and applying AI more effectively in practice.
Dates
Sessions are planned to run fortnightly on Tuesdays from 1–2 pm:
- 21 April
- 5 May
- 19 May
- 2 June
- 16 June
- 30 June
- 14 July
- 28 July
Sessions will be limited to 12 participants to allow discussion.
