Environmental Compliance Conference 2018 in Auckland

The NZPI announced the programme for the ECC’s annual conference in Auckland in November 2018.

I’m delighted to be speaking at the conference. My presentation is called Working Alongside the Bots. It will explore how our work in compliance will change with artificial intelligence.

This is a hot topic for the media right now. The media loves to focus on the loss of people’s jobs to humanoid-shaped robots standing in the person’s old work station. In reality the robot is being incrementally added in to the software you use every day. We need to learn to work alongside our technology, particularly as chatbots and similar interfaces start to become commonplace. And if you don’t know what a chatbot is, the presentation will cover that first! 🙂
